Moving on from your ex or special person

Have you ever found yourself obsessing over someone who you really want to shut out of your life? Maybe it’s an ex, maybe it’s someone who didn’t show you the interest someone of your level of sparkle deserved. Whatever the reason for wanting to cut them out, it’s challenging when we continue to find them in our waking thoughts and even worse, our dreams!

The first thing to remember is that everything is energy. Our thoughts all carry a vibration and every interaction or reaction you have towards someone connects your energy to theirs. These might be energetic cords that exist from a relationship, but our energy also blends with someone who enters into our DMs and our thoughts.

Go easy on yourself

You’re not the first person this has happened to and you won’t be the last. It might be easy to hit that block button but it’s more challenging to release that person from your thoughts. We tend to be our own worst critics so please, go easy on yourself.

Is it highlighting something that you need to heal?

As the saying goes, people come into our lives for a season, a reason or a lifetime. We’re constantly in a cycle of being taught or teaching others. Is this person acting as a mirror and reflecting back on what you need to heal within yourself? If you’re experiencing feelings of discomfort or longing, for example, it can often be highlighting something that you need to heal. Healing is a never-ending process, it’s not uncommon for us to feel like we’re in a good place and then something else comes up.

Cut those energy cords!

Everything is energy. When we’ve been connected to someone, we can feel an energetic pull in towards them even when we’ve blocked them on every channel of communication we thought possible! One of the most effective ways to help you lessen a connection to someone is cutting those energy cords. It is something that needs repeating regularly, perhaps something you might want to do daily initially. It’s like cutting through a thick rope with a blunt knife, you’re not going to get through it in one go but bit by bit, that rope will fray and eventually snap.
